CompositeBid is operated by George Hailey trading as CompositeBid. It is not currently an incorporated limited company.

Business use

CompositeBid is an early-stage manufacturing sourcing network. If you submit on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it. If a Small Project form allows you to submit as an individual, you remain responsible for the accuracy and lawful sharing of your information.

No guaranteed outcome

An RFQ, Small Project, supplier application, capacity registration or material listing does not guarantee an introduction, quotation, project award, supplier approval, due-diligence status or material suitability. Users remain responsible for commercial, technical, quality, regulatory and financial checks before entering any arrangement.

Supplier applications and accounts

A supplier application is reviewed before portal access is issued. Approval of an account means access to the supplier area only; it is not certification, formal supplier vetting, due-diligence approval or a recommendation of the supplier's capability.

Account users must keep their login details secure and provide accurate profile information. Suppliers choose separate instant/off preferences for matched Commercial RFQ and Small Project email alerts and can change them later. Existing suppliers start with Small Project alerts off. Email alerts are informational and do not guarantee that an opportunity remains available or that work will be awarded.

RFQ and Small Project review and publication

Buyers currently submit RFQs without creating a buyer account. A submission is private while it is reviewed. CompositeBid may prepare a separate non-confidential supplier summary, but it is visible to matching active suppliers only after it has been expressly approved and published.

A buyer account is not required to submit. After an opportunity has been approved, CompositeBid may invite the submitter using the verified submission email. The buyer must accept the invitation and create access. Buyer access applies only to opportunities explicitly linked by an administrator.

Small Projects use a separate private submission and publication process. They are never published automatically. Low or unestablished budgets require a setup-cost acknowledgement and remain subject to administrator review before a separate summary may be published.

Buyer identity, contact details, private descriptions, drawings and confidential technical material are not included in matched RFQ or Small Project emails or approved supplier summaries. Publication and matching do not create a contract or appoint a supplier.

Supplier interest and messaging

Supplier interest must relate to one approved Commercial RFQ or Small Project. Expressing interest does not reveal buyer or end-customer identity, private contact details or technical files and does not open a conversation. A conversation opens only after the interest is accepted by the authorised buyer or CompositeBid administrator.

Messaging is text-only and opportunity-specific. Users must not use it to exchange controlled data, CAD, drawings, restricted customer information or information they are not authorised to disclose. A withdrawn opportunity prevents new interests and conversations; existing conversations remain readable but become read-only.

CompositeBid administrators do not routinely browse private message content. Participants may report a specific message, in which case the reported content and limited necessary context may be reviewed and the moderation action recorded.

Confidential and controlled information

The public website accepts non-confidential summaries only. Submitting information does not create an NDA, confidentiality agreement or secure data-room relationship with CompositeBid or another network participant.

You must not submit classified information, UK export-controlled technical data, US ITAR or EAR-controlled data, trade secrets, information restricted by an NDA, personal information you are not authorised to share, or material whose disclosure would breach law or another person's rights.

Protected know-how, drawings and specifications should be exchanged only after the relevant parties have signed a separate NDA and agreed an appropriate secure disclosure process. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that may apply under a separate written agreement or applicable UK confidentiality and trade-secret law.

Onward subcontracting and disclosure

CompositeBid enables controlled sourcing and subcontracting. Buyers may ask CompositeBid to introduce one suitable supplier, several suppliers for comparison, or multiple suppliers to share a programme. This is separate from onward subcontracting, where a selected supplier passes some or all of the work to another company.

Suppliers must follow the buyer's stated onward-subcontracting preference. CompositeBid does not grant a supplier permission to further subcontract or disclose buyer information. If no preference has been recorded, do not assume permission: obtain the buyer's instructions before passing work onward. Permission to propose sub-tier suppliers is not approval to use them.

A supplier must not, without appropriate buyer authorisation:

• Pass work to another manufacturer where the buyer has prohibited it.
• Send drawings, CAD, specifications or technical data to another company.
• Re-post the buyer's opportunity elsewhere.
• Involve another manufacturer in production where buyer approval is required.

A supplier must not claim that another supplier or sub-tier supplier is approved when it is not. Where written buyer approval is required, obtain it before involving that party in the work.

Buyer permission recorded on CompositeBid does not override NDAs, purchase orders, quality agreements, approved supplier requirements, regulatory obligations, export-control requirements or other contractual restrictions. All applicable requirements must still be satisfied. CompositeBid does not provide legal or regulatory approval.

Public opportunities contain non-confidential summaries only. Buyer identity, contact details, drawings, CAD, specifications and confidential technical information must not be publicly disclosed. Any protected technical disclosure must be separately authorised and handled under the appropriate confidentiality and secure exchange arrangements described above, even where onward subcontracting is permitted.

Accuracy and lawful use

You must provide accurate information, keep availability details reasonably current, and use CompositeBid lawfully. You are responsible for compliance with applicable export controls, sanctions, procurement rules, product requirements and sector-specific obligations.

Materials and supplier checks

CompositeBid does not independently certify suppliers or materials unless expressly agreed in writing. Buyers must verify supplier capability, certification, traceability, storage history, shelf life, conformity and suitability before purchase or use.

Personal information

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Account deletion

Supplier users can delete their account from the supplier settings area after confirming their password and typing DELETE. Deletion removes the authentication account and sessions, disables the linked supplier profile and redacts its personal and manufacturing details. Limited identifiers, timestamps and notification-delivery state may remain where required for security, duplicate prevention or audit integrity. Requests concerning buyer RFQs or other public forms are handled separately because those submissions are not linked to a buyer account.

Invited buyers can delete their authentication account from buyer settings. This removes login sessions and explicitly linked access and makes established conversations read-only. It does not automatically erase an original RFQ or Small Project submission; a verified request concerning those separate records must be made to CompositeBid.

Governing law

These terms and any non-contractual dispute connected with the website are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
